Why come for Counselling or Psychotherapy
Whether you are finding it difficult coping with current events, would like support for a specific issue, or are feeling stuck or unsure about what is bothering you, I hope you will find my website helpful in deciding whether to come for counselling or psychotherapy.
Everyone faces challenges at some point in their lives and can experience anxiety or feel stressed, depressed, afraid or numb. We all need support at times and may not feel able or want to talk to people in our lives.
I believe that within each of us lies the capacity to overcome difficulties. Counselling and psychotherapy can offer you a safe and confidential space to explore any difficulties with the support of a professional trained to listen and respond in an insightful, non-judgmental and caring way.
You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from seeing a counsellor or psychotherapist, although it is fine if you are. Counselling and psychotherapy can help you to gain greater self-awareness, build on your strengths and improve your general sense of emotional wellbeing so you can make meaningful and lasting changes in your life.
What I can offer
I am warm and down to earth psychotherapist, offering an empathic, non-judgmental and safe and calm space. I provide counselling and psychotherapy where I work with you to look at your experiences and how you can overcome any difficulties. I value difference and central to my practice is working in a way that respects each person. I aim to co-create a space where we have mutual trust and I support you to feel empowered to find your own solutions.
Research shows that the relationship between client and therapist is central to successful therapy. I see my role as helping clients to live more authentic and fulfilling lives. Have a look in the About Me section to find out about my qualifications and experience to see if I am the right therapist for you.
